Morrison Targets Fringe Lenders

Memphis City Council

A member of the freshman Memphis City Council is pushing for new zoning regulations intended to curb the growth of the financial sector in fringe city and province. Companies like payday lenders and auto title loan shops will be subject to stricter rules about where you can and cannot open and must be as distant from each other, if City Council State Bill Morrison gets his way. Morrison is the applicant whose application for the new zoning rules this month will be the first Memphi-Shelby County Land Use Control Board.
